MADisWater hub to advance sustainable solutions

Mar 4, 2026

The Bioe group at IMDEA Water will contribute to the MADisWATER hub to advance sustainable water solutions in Madrid. Within this initiative, coordinated by Repsol and involving partners such as Canal de Isabel II and Metfilter– we bring our expertise to develop innovative biological solutions for wastewater treatment and reuse.

This public-private innovation hub, coordinated by Spanish company Repsol, brings together key partners from the water sector and industry, including Canal de Isabel II and Metfilter. The aim is minimizing the water footprint and improving resource availability in the urban and industrial water cycle.
